History
Since 2004, the Pleasant Valley Grange has mailed more than 1,000 care packages to U.S. Troops stationed abroad. The widely acclaimed Packages and Prayers program is ardently managed by the Women's Activities Committee (GWA).
In 2005, the Pleasant Valley Grange became the official Red Cross Evacuation Center for our community. It's comforting to know the Grange is there for us.
In the spring of 2006, students from El Dorado County answered the Grange's Beanie Baby Challenge, donating 10,616 Beanie Babies to our Packages and Prayers program. The Beanie Babies were handed out by U.S. Troops to children around the world. The Beanie Baby Challenge was co-sponsored by County Supervisor Helen Baumann, with generous contributions from PG&E, Sierra Pacific Foundation, Lennar Communities and others.
In January 2007 the Pleasant Valley Grange totaled 210 members, making us the second largest of 185 Granges in California.
